The Summoning

A Game Design Gathering

After last years roaring success, we are happy to once again invite game designers from all over Sweden to join us for the Summoning on the 9-10th of April in Skövde.

The Summoning is a gathering of Game Designers to meet, share, and exchange their experiences. This event solely caters to professionals within the field of Game Design.

The idea of The Summoning came from our council, a group of veteran game designers who felt a need for a gathering just for them. Their role in the process to make the event happen is to evaluate interesting topics and companies to invite on stage.

When is the event?

9th of April: 11:30-17:30, followed by social activities such as mingle and dinner.
10th of April: 8:30-15:00, including lunch.

Where is the event?

Skövde, Sweden. The venue is Insikten at Science Park Skövde.

Who can join?

This event solely caters to professionals within the field of Game Design.

What is included?

A ticket for the event costs 1 200 SEK including VAT, that includes:

  • 9 sessions (talks, panels and roundtable discussions)
  • 2 lunches
  • 1 dinner
  • A pre-dinner mingle
  • Fika and coffee throughout the event

"Sweden has a vast amount of Game Designers with knowledge of how to create phenomenal games. Wisdom that has been gained throughout years of hard work and dedication. Currently we seem to be missing a specifically tailored event to share our knowledge and experiences with each other, which is why I wanted to create an event for designers in the Swedish games industry. This event allows us to share insight in what design choices were made during development, why they were made and what they would have done differently."
